Description: The Gradient Mesh Tool: A tool I was not even aware of in Adobe Illustrator which enables you create the outline form of a 3D object on a canvas and then utilizing both the color picker and the gradient tool, fill in the outlined mesh to create depth and form based on your outlines.
The results itself are astounding. The image below is one I found of Jessica Alba drawn beautifully utilizing this tool:
